Hot Cheerleaders in Cricket.
OK now this is something im sure most of us have been waiting to debate on. Do we need cheerleaders in Cricket? Can we Americanize a sport considered to be a gentleman's game? What will become of Cricket? Oh my GOD ........
Alright now hold on to your horses lads and lasses ( :P ). Well shame on all those who feel that the game shouldn't have Team cheerleaders come on they are cheerleaders with pom poms how can you "NOT" like them? Look what they did to Cricket. They put Cricket on the world map. We all know Cricket comes next only to Football, Athletics, F1 Racing etc. Well barring Football we do have a lotta eye candy, in most of the sports that eclipse Cricket. Even in football the crowd makes up for all the treat your eyes deserve and its even better when Brazil plays (I'm sure even the most shrewd critic would agree).
How many of us do really follow American Football. Well it doesnt have even a fraction of Cricket's fan following. But how many of us "Admire" the Cheerleaders in that sport?
Well i know your lying if you say no i don't really follow them. Oh ye sure i know you don't, you just follow the cheerleaders in basketball right? *SIGH*
As much as we all love to hate Mr.Lalit Modi , i admire this man for this one move that's given Cricket the "JIZZ" factor. Lets just ignore the fact that IPL with all its glamor and glitz sure will kill Test and One day cricket. Lets just concentrate on "THE CHEERLEADERS" for now. Well I sure can tell you that the best thing that happen to Cricket after Sachin (GOD!!) and Mandira Bedi's Noodle Strap(my dad just loved her hosting the Cricket shows, while he cussed at the very same lady in Shanti for being boring) are the IPL CHEERLEADERS.
I can say this because, after KKR's abysmal performance i sure didnt see my brothers from the city of joy crying foul or burning effigies. Well they were so intrigued with the Cheerleader's pom poms and dance that they just didn't notice Ganguly's "match winning" performances. But seriously the best way to hide a team's pathetic performance is to "project" or "divert" the fans attention to these luscious hot cheerleaders. Which i feel KKR did extremely well. Well enough of diverting from my discussion of "I WANT CHEERLEADERS IN CRICKET".
Now lets all take a bow to Dr.Vijay Mallya who so graciously introduced the cheerleaders to RCB(They had the best cheerleaders btw) and other IPL teams. Wow Mr.Mallya first the Booze Industry then the avaition industry, F1 and now Cheerleading Industry. Well Royal Challengers Bangalore was a nice platform to launch the White mischief Cheerleaders. Well he sure launched the Cheerleaders in style imagine the likes of Dravid, Kumble, KP, Kallis being overshadowed by the hotties. The Cheerleaders for once generated more interest than the players. I guess thats what was responsible for RCB's success in this years edition of the IPL, less pressure on the players. Gratz Mr.Mallya you truly are a genius.
So i sure would love to see the bouncy lasses do their stuff on the cricket ground and reduce the stress on the players so that they dont "Burn out" and ignore the pundits (read Sunil Gavaskar, John Buchanan) who seem to "know it all". In the end its just a way to de-stress from your nagging wife and god fearing mother. So go ahead and enjoy the influx of cheerleaders into cricket until some "SAVIOUR" from the ICC decides to put an end to this "Skin Show" and a bunch of Culture loving B@$Tards decide to go on a rampage to protect or so called Indian Culture .
So signing off now and hell ye will be back soon with more updates on the Hot Cheerleaders as frankly i really like them.
Cheers'
